This embroidery and workmanship was performed by a select group of nuns who provided the garments for Arch Bishops and the Pope. The work is done in actual gold for the raised embroidery and much of the thread. The embroidery of the flowers has endured the test of time, still bright and amazing quality. This order of nuns has stopped doing this type of work and it is now considered to be a Lost Art.
This was displayed the rings are modern and can be removed. Pure silk/satin and 24k gold thread. These normally do not leave the church and go into the Vatican's collection. This is a rare opportunity to own a pice of history and art. We have not fully researched the piece but the value could go up substantially if that research was done.
