4.25 Carat Medusa Quartz Also known as Paraiba Quartz Gilalite Macrocrystalline
Medusa Quartz, Also known as Paraiba Quartz, Gilalite, Macrocrystalline
Trillion shaped cabochon
Interesting and beautiful due to the gilalite inclusions that look like flecks of Paraiba Tourmaline,
Natural, Well polished discovered in Brazil in August 2004
VERY RARE, limited supply (I have two left)
Identified by the National Museum of Natural History in Paris supposedly it took over 1100 of the Paraiba crystals inside the quartz to make a single carat of the inclusion material to form a gem to use in high end jewelry.
